What makes Case Logic discrepant from all the other brands you ask yourself? Here are some points that will enlighten you why you should choose Case Logic when going to buy a bag:

A look back: How Case Logic has planted its flag in the tech gear industry.

In 1984, the clatter of audiocassettes in the back seat of a car sparked an idea for Case Logic founder, Jamie Temple. To solve the problem, he crafted two novel audiocassette storage cases. The first, called the CL 15, was a simple, soft-sided case that held 15 audiocassettes, and it quickly became a revolution in the music storage industry. A second product was soon added, colour options introduced, and Case Logic went from start-up to full-fledged enterprise. As technology evolved, Case Logic evolved alongside, offering options for keeping hardware, chargers and accessories organized and protected. “We’ve always believed in having the right product doing the right things, and having it be better than people expect it to be,” states John Casey, Case Logic Director of Sales. “We’re continually evolving and reinvigorating our brand. At ‘30 years new,’ our history is a stepping stone for bigger and better things in the future.”

30 years later, Case Logic continues to thrive.

Case Logic has continuously produced high-quality and durable products – and today’s fast-paced society has set a new standard for use and accessibility of electronics. Understanding this recent surge of technology reliance, Case Logic provides innovative and functional carrying options for today’s urbanites across the globe. Rising business stars, freelance photographers, and graduate students don’t leave home with the technology that empowers them to succeed – making Case Logic’s line of tablet cases, laptop bags and camera accessories a modern day must-have. A shining example comes with a look at Case Logic’s Reflexion Collection of camera bags. A Red Dot Award-winning product for excellence in design, this collection of backpack and messenger-style camera bags offers an affordable and functional solution for keeping DSLR cameras safe and in reach for the perfect shot, while its multi-purpose design provides a sleek, stylish look and logical organization for daily essentials. A look on some of the products that Case Logic has on offer:

Commuter Bags

Today’s urbanite requires a bag that will stand up to a busy day, whether they’re taking the subway to work, hitting the gym or overnighting for the weekend. The LoDo Satchel is a stylish solution offering thickly padded laptop (15.6”) and tablet (10.1”) compartments with a unique wide-mouth opening for ease of use. Its leather handles and zipper pulls, pockets with magnetic closures, water bottle pouch and removable shoulder straps provide versatility and adaptability no matter what the day brings. Additionally, the LoDo collection features two distinct laptop bag styles. The 14’’ and 15.6’’ Laptop Attachés safely store a laptop while the separate file compartment holds folders, magazines and loose papers. Ensuring easy-access for stowing for personal items, the external accessory pockets seamlessly shut with magnetic snap-closures.

Straight from the urban runway, Case Logic’s LoDo daypacks were intelligently designed for school, work or travel. The medium style daypack securely stores a 15’’ laptop and 10.1’’ tablet with internal and external accessory compartments for additional storage. It’s genuine leather bottom and accents, front magnetic closures, padded back panel and shoulder straps allow for a stylish and comfortable carry. The large style daypack also offers thickly padded laptop (15.6”) and tablet (10.1”) compartments featuring a special wide-mouth, rucksack opening and a discrete zippered phone pocket.

Perfectly sized and styled for protection, LoDo tablet sleeves easily store an ’’ or 10.1’’ tablet. The slim line case protects against scratches and bumps with high-quality cotton canvas exterior while the soft interior lining safeguards LCD screens. The 11.6’’, 13.’’ and 15.6’’ laptop sleeves are ideal for minimalists wanting to carry only the day’s necessities. A dedicated laptop compartment provides a high level of protection while extra storage allows room for accessories, cables and a charger.

Camera Bag

The Luminosity is made from high quality material that looks like it will stand up to a lot of wear and use. On the front are two clips to hold the cover in place as well as a Velcro patch. On the lid is a flap that can be used to cover the Velco to keep it silent when opening and closing it. For some odd reason there is a handle on the lower front. I have yet to find a purpose for that.

  • Customize your own storage for DSLR camera, up to 4 lenses, including a 70-200 mm lens, or flash and accessories with adjustable foam walls and short snake divider to use as a wall or hammock
  • Bag fastens with velcro and buckles, or easily modify to a silent closure – integrated velcro-patch cover eliminates scratch sound for quiet settings
  • Unique fold away flap provides convenient top access to gear – simply fold and velcro the main compartment open and you’re suddenly wearing your work-out of station
  • Front zippered pocket provides organization for additional camera or non-camera accessories
  • Ergonomic construction combines thickly padded backpanel and shoulder strap, oversized shoulder pad and optional waistbelt for maximum carrying comfort
  • Waistbelt tucks into backpanel when not in use
  • Sturdy top and bottom grab handles for easy lifting and loading
  • Modern, functional design and durable ripstop nylon create a quality, user-friendly camera bag
  • Removable weather cover protects case from the elements – can be stored in dedicated compartment, attached by adhesive straps, or removed completely to dry or clean
  • Lens cloth included

On the back is a padded back area which hides straps from both sides. I’m not really sure what the purpose of the straps are as they don’t seem like they would tighten up enough to sling onto the back of your luggage. On the bottom is a small pouch containing a rain cover.

“Life, Simplified” – Case Logic

Velvet Lounge in Maboneng became a world stage when Miranda launched her single – Lendoda. Miranda Mokhele Ntshangase who was born in the Free State released her first album during the fall of 1987 called New Beginnings. She has been doing acting and presenting shows and decided it is about time to tackle the music industry with her breathtaking voice.

She rose to fame when she appeared on Tshisa as Latoya who was a presenter, she also appeared on Sokhulu and Partners, Mthunzini.com, Rhythm City and Mzansi Magic’s – Zabalaza amongst a few.

Getting the chance to watch her perform I must say that it has been a very enthralling experience. Miranda will take you on a very magnificent musical journey as her voice intertwines with your soul.

This is what she has to say about her new single, her life as an actress and musician and her future endeavors:

  1. Can you just tell me what attracted you to music?

Originally I studied music but somehow my path took me to acting. In this case, acting was my second nature, it was something I liked. I realized now that God was trying to prepare me. The whole time I was trying to push for my music and God was like to me “take your time and write your material”

2. Please tell me about Lendoda. What is the whole inspiration behind this amazing track?

Well, it is actually a song that I wrote about my husband, how I met him and how he makes me feel. Obviously, I embellished a bit in terms of story-telling but in essence, Lendoda is about my husband.

3. The transition from being an actress to being a songstress is somewhat a very huge and risky step one can take. How did you cope with that?

You see, I get that a lot and my answer is always that its not a transition but it is who I am. Music is who I am and with acting, you are just playing a role, trying to fit into the characters shoes but with music it is me, I just need to go back to who I am and what I believe in – be true to the music and who you are.

4. Any concrete advice you would give to aspiring actresses and songstresses that want you be where you are currently?

There is one thing that I always stay true to and that is: DO NOT STOP! I mean, what does not fit someone does not mean it will fit another person. No matter what the case is, DO NOT STOP!

“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, charm and gaiety to life and to everything” – Plato

It is not Keeping Up With The Kardashians but Keeping Up With The Kandasamy’s (yes, your eyes are not deceiving you) and it is a South African movie (how can we not be more proud?)

Last week Sunday I was invited to the exclusive screening of Keeping Up With The Kandasamy’s at Gold Reef City. I must say that this is actually the most funniest and well-produced local movie to date!

There are two former best friends that are neighbours. They both have a beautiful life and well, of course gorgeous children and the most hilarious grandmother but I am sure you are thinking what happens when two former best friends are neighbours? Well, that is there the fun begins.

Their children are in a ‘secret romantic relationship’ which their mothers detest. Their fathers are also best friends and their wives do not know as well. In essence, this rather bone-cracking movie is filled with laughs, betrayal, happiness and acceptance at the end of the day.

The young couple go though all sorts of trails set-out by their parents, fights happen and ultimately, a break-up takes its course. The parents fight and they happen to realize that they are actually causing pain not only to themselves but their children as well.

Keeping up with the Kandasamy’s, has raked in a remarkable R1.6 million at the box office on opening weekend (3 March 2017), with an attendance of nearly 30 000 people. The film opened at number 3 on the Top 10 after Logan: The Wolverine and Fifty Shades Darker.

You never have to choose who your children date and the trails that they undergo. Happiness can happen to anyone and why judge their happiness? I have also learnt that not only can we fight over one lousy thing and not move on? This is where forgiveness comes into prospect.

Keeping With The Kandasamy’s is one Bollywood movie that will keep you laughing, be in tears for a moment and provides one with knowledge in general.

The film was produced in association with The National Film and Video Foundation, The Kwazulu Natal Film Commission, M-Net and The DTI, with distribution by Ster-Kinekor Entertainment. It features music by Kyle Deutsch and The Parlotones. The film is currently showing at selected theatres nationwide.

This year, your judges are Jamie Bartlett (who replaced Lalla Hirayama), DJ Fresh and Shado Twala and of course, a talent show without a host that will make you laugh until your stomach hurts, will never be a great show!
