“Thabooty” will take over Roger Goode, who will now be doing the breakfast slot. According to SowetanLIVE the acting station manager – Liesl Hefkie said: “The competitive radio environment challenges one all the time to think out of the box, come up with amazing content and complement that with great music”
The Thabooty Drive will commence on the 1st of May and it is said it will be the best thing that has ever happened to radio.

If you hadn’t heard by now, 5FM is heading to Polokwane next month for the first ever Small Town Live Loud weekend! The station will be taking over the city for four days, 29 April – 2 May, with various activities including live broadcasts, parties, a concert and Youngblood5 CSi initiatives.
The weekend promises more than 96 hours of live broadcasts and non-stop parties and entertainment which involves all the stations’ on air presenters.
The entire station will be setting up home in Polokwane with 30 live broadcasts with all 5FM shows (from 5am to 1am), lot parties featuring 5FM DJs and a live concert, Live Loud Music Fest, with acts that include Cassper Nyovest, Mi Casa, Riky Rick, Jeremy Loops, the 5FM DJs and more.
Leading up to the stations’ Small Town Live Loud weekend, presenter Nick Hamman (Monday-Friday 08:00 – 10:00) and his producer Mike Bossenger will be walking to Polokwane. Nick and Mike will be heading out on Friday, 15 April and broadcasting on the road every day until they reach Polokwane.

Due to unprecedented public demand for Nicki Minaj tickets, the promoters of the American rap sensation’s upcoming South African tour have announced an extra Johannesburg date.
Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour will now invade Johannesburg’s Ticketpro Dome on 17 and 18 March 2016, with Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium hosting the flamboyant Anaconda hitmaker on 20 March 2016 and Cape Town’s Grand West Arena wrapping up the tour in style on 22 March 2016.
